The Print Haus opened its second facility in Sylva, North Carolina on May 1, 2001. We proudly serve all the counties and cities surrounding the Sylva, NC area.
"The Haywood Chamber of Commerce recently got a new logo, which meant we needed to change all printed materials, from letterhead to business cards to note cards. Even the sign in front of the building Jeff and his crew at The Print Haus were so great to work with. They got it all done, ahead of schedule, and were fun to work with as well. True pros! "
- Sarah Franquet | Haywood Chamber of Commerce
Jeff started in the graphics industry at the local newspaper, when he was a teenager. His jobs were to empty the scrap Linotype trays, at the same time learning to work in the darkroom which was then the latest technology. With ink still in his veins following college, he found his calling in the printing industry. Employed by the fastest growing quick-print franchise headquarters, Jeff worked his way up through the organization from Field Representative to Site Locator, Region Site Locator, Multi-Store/Region Representative, Nationwide Vendor Research and Evaluation Coordinator.
After marriage to Lee in 1978, and thoughts of future family, they decided traveling was too much, so Jeff went to work for one of the country’s largest print equipment manufacturers, where he sold and installed independent print shops in Northwestern Ohio and Southern Michigan.
Jeff and Lee decided to open their own “quick” print shop and looked at many locations in the U.S., but Jeff was in love with Lee’s hometown of Waynesville and the mountains of North Carolina. He convinced Lee to move back to open their business and raise their family.
When Jeff was 27 in May, 1982, The Print Haus was born. Now, after 31 years in business, he is President of the Most Complete Print, Copy, Sign, Direct Mail, Design and Advertising Specialty Shop in WNC with 2 locations. Recent awards include: Top 50 Entrepreneurs of the Charlotte Region, 2012 and Haywood Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month.
